Half-Life 2 Win
The series is one of my favorites and number two doesn't disappoint. Even though it still isn't finished, even with the expansions but all well. Not much else we can do. Still a challenge, even today and really, I love the super charged gravity gun!
Portal 2 Win
Very few games come out of big name companies that completely shatter the moulds of the genres that attempt to define it. Its a mystery first person action puzzler comedy platformer co-op game. I find the humour hilarious, and the puzzles quite challenging at times (all too rare these days) - the first game was more tech demo but the second has tons of content to easily warrant full pice status.
Star Wars: The Old Republic Win
After getting to L30 and undergoing well over 100 voice-mouth-moving quest givers, starship Star Fox battles, companion stories, group battles, story progression, dark/light powers, modifications to gear I love, and countless hours of fun, not to mention get a Legacy last name, I will never go back to World of Warcraft. A new generation has begun.
God of War III PS3
The word "epic" is overused, but nothing else can be used to describe this game. Fantastic set pieces litter the game, everything is beautiful to look at, and the combat is oh so satisfying. The pacing is wonderful as well, right when you've fought for a while, things slow down a bit with a puzzle. From the 12+ hour storyline to tons of extras, this game has value of Godlike proportions.
Mass Effect 3 360
Like the other two games in the series, how it ends doesn't matter. Mass Effect 3 continues the trend of taking you on an incredible journey through the galaxy, where you feel the impact of the war with the Reapers. BioWare nails it with the characters and pacing of the story all over again. Best in the series? Maybe not, but it's still incredible in every way.
Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii
You want to put a collection of three amazing games togther? Great! You also want to update two of them with complete motion controls? Amazing! This game is amazing. One downside, not on the games side, is that production has stopped and you'll be hard pressed to find a copy under $75.
Super Mario Bros. eShop
For me, this is the perfect relaxing game. It's a game most are familiar with too. This game allows you to be Mario or Luigi. You journey through various stages attempting to rescue the Princess form Evil bowser. It's not lengthy game (bear in mind it was developed around 95) yet it's exciting! If you own a Wii you can purchase this for only 5 USD.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past eShop
For many, TloZ:ALttP is the best Zelda game ever made, and I certainly can see why. It is by far the best top down Zelda game, and has great graphics for it's time. The ambiance of this game shines throughout it, and it is an invigorating game that sparks people into playing all the way to the fantastic final fight, and of course the happily ever after.
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask eShop

Majora's Mask has always been the black sheep on Zelda. People either hate it, or love it. It really depends on how open you are to new ideas, as this games is full of them. If you are willing to try new things, you will find many things you thought could never work, actually work surprising well.
Portal 2 PS3
More of what you loved about the first one, more challenging puzzles, more dark witty writing, and now with new stuff, and a shiny British accent. not sure if it is better or worse than the first it is just ..... more.
