Castle Crashers
This is such a fun, quirky little beat em up. There's 3 game modes, and tons of replayability with the characters, pets, and weapons available to unlock. That said, like most beat em ups, it's really only enjoyable (and beatable, imo) with other people. On the same token, things can get frustratingly hectic. That aside, for what you pay, you're getting quite a bit out of this package.
284 Journey
Journey is simplicity at its best. You have one goal: reach the top of the mountain. There are no complex puzzles, no bosses, just (as the title implies) a journey. Floating and sliding my way through the games gorgeous scenery and delightful music made me feel a sense of adventure and joy I haven't ever felt playing a video game before. It's that special.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game
A fantastic game for fans of the movie, the beat'em up genre, or both. You and up to 3 other people can go at it through 7 levels of neo-retro goodness. As fun and hectic as the game is, though, it's pretty short. Most of the longevity of the game comes from grinding to upgrade your characters. For some, it may get repetitive. But personally, I had a ton of fun with the game.
