This game is really the polar opposite of MGS4; instead of sneaking around enemies you confront them head-on as a cyborg ninja, and chop them to bits with your sword. The action is fast, frantic, and completely over the top - but it works, mostly. Unfortunately two of the biggest enemies in the game were the camera and the controls, which frequently got in the way or didn't behave like I expected.
My experience with Xcom: Enemy Unknown is as much frustration as it is enjoyment. The strategy game is quite fun and very complex. Hence an hour long tutorial at the beginning of the game. The game is hard but never unfairly so. It makes success that much more meaningful. I recommend to anyone looking for a challenge and ready to invest a lot of time in a game that asks for all of your attention.
Dishonored feels like a nice mix of Bioshocks world and style with Deus Ex: Human Revolution gameplay. Everything about the game just screams polish. From the enjoyable storyline and lore established by the game to the interesting ways it lets you explore its world. I recommend to anyone wanting to lose themselves in a world where all your decisions affect the outcome of the game.
Bethesda clearly understands how to make an open world first person rpg work. The game is at its best when you're exploring it's deep world and discovering things on your own. The music as well as the atmosphere are nailed perfectly and set a great tone for the game. I honestly believe that there isn't a better medieval themed game out there. Ir's also a very long game. If that's your thing.
The word "epic" is overused, but nothing else can be used to describe this game. Fantastic set pieces litter the game, everything is beautiful to look at, and the combat is oh so satisfying. The pacing is wonderful as well, right when you've fought for a while, things slow down a bit with a puzzle. From the 12+ hour storyline to tons of extras, this game has value of Godlike proportions.
As beloved as MvC2 is, there's no denying how broken the game is. This beautiful game does not have that same flaw. It's quite balanced, and fun for casual and aspiring tournament players. The one fault I have with it is the online. The features aren't as streamlined, and it can be hard to find a match with a satisfying connection. Other than that, if you love fighting games, pick this up.
If you like things fast, explosive, and with no basis in reality then you will like this game. Everything that was extreme and insane about the 90's is brought back in this game. If you're a series fan its a must play, if you're new just have some patience. Things not to expect if you play: -A relaxing time -Story -Anything for young children -A standard or simple control scheme -Hand holding
